The Board of Directors comprises the Executive Management Team and the Non-Executive Directors.
As a former investment advisor to Lazard Development Capital and a Director of Corporate Finance with ABN Amro Hoare Govett, John brings his vast experience of technology sectors to Arjuna. John graduated with a first from Sheffield University and completed an M.Litt at Cambridge University. He is an expert in planning, managing, developing, investing in, and realizing value from, high growth technology enterprises.
Mark brings a wealth of sector specific business experience to Arjuna. After graduating from Cambridge University Mark founded Integrated Micro Products (IMP) and over 15 years grew this to a several hundred person business. IMP was floated on the US NASDAQ and was ultimately acquired by SUN Microsystems. Within SUN, Mark was responsible for the Telco Platforms Group and provided leadership in Sun's telecoms and Internet strategy development. Since leaving Sun Mark has continued to develop his business interests and acts as a chairman and non-executive director for a number of UK businesses and business development organizations in the North East of England.
Alec is a qualified chartered accountant who practiced on his own account for 20 years after qualifying. Following the sale of his practice, and with the backing of the Rt Hon Viscount Gough, Barwell Plc was formed in 1993 to invest in early stage companies with growth potential. As a hands on investor Barwell appoints Alec as a Director where it is felt that his financial skills can be of benefit to the investee company. Alec has been appointed a Director of Arjuna following Barwell’s investment in September 2009.
