Following HP's announcement of their discontinuation of the middleware product line, the Arjuna team form a new company, Arjuna Technologies Limited, focused on building reliable Web Services architecture components. Arjuna continues to sell the former HP transactioning and messaging products, offering support and enhancements, through a licensing deal with HP. Arjuna are also contracted to assist HP in providing 'sunset' support for HP's NetAction Middleware products for HP's customers.

HP Arjuna Lab releases HP Web Services Transactions (HP-WST). HP-WST is the industry's first transactioning product designed for the complex world of Web services. HP-WST provides the transactional infrastructure needed to support complex, long duration transactions outside the firewall between multiple parties.
HP Arjuna Lab releases HP Message Service (HP-MS). HP-MS is an advanced, pure Java, message server that complies to version 1.0.2b of the Java Message Service specification. It provides both transactional queuing and publish-and-subscribe messaging models. At its core HP-MS leverages the ArjunaCore transaction processing engine to ensure guaranteed message delivery.
Bluestone Software acquired by Hewlett Packard. Hewlett Packard complete the acquisition of Bluestone Software Inc for $525M. As a result, the HP Arjuna Lab is formed in Newcastle, with a satellite office in London, employing around 30 people in total.
Arjuna wins British Computer Society Gold Award for Information Technology. The Bluestone Arjuna Lab is awarded the prestigious British Computer Society (BCS) Gold Award for information technology which "aims to encourage originality, innovation, and the highest standard of excellence in the British computer industry".
